Ken and Michele have been married for fifty-eight years. In March of 2024, they returned to the Augusta,GA area. Ken is a retired pharmacist, pastor, and missionary to Mexico. Michele is a retired Spanish and English teacher.
For several years, Ken and Michele felt that God was leading them into a new season of life. In September of 2022, after forty plus years in pastoral ministry and missions, they entered this new season. It began as a time of rest and renewal. The rest did not last very long. God gave Michele a dream, and they both quickly realized that God was birthing a new ministry for them. On February 9, 2023, Carrying My Cross Ministry was born. This new ministry is in addition to the Mexico ministry.

The Mission of Carrying My Cross Ministry: Becoming Followers of Jesus Christ
Carrying My Cross Ministry was created to help individuals become true followers of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus gave his requirements for those who want to be his disciples: (1) "Deny himself"- In the Greek language this means to disown ourselves. That is, we submit totally to Christ and make no claim to ourselves. We belong to Him. (2) "Take up his cross" - If one was carrying a cross in Jesus' time, he was going to his death. When we carry our own cross, it means that we have submitted to God's plan for our life even if it means dying in order to fulfill his plan. (3) "Follow me" - We go wherever Christ sends us. We are developing Bible studies to help you become that disciple.
